Pro Series - 6 June 2023 Spiceworks Originals.Looks like AOMEI has dropped their price from the usual $175-200 fee the others charge to install on a Server OS. They are also a zillion times more reliable than Gparted. Macrium, Acronis, Paragon, EaseUS, AOMEI, etc all use a similiar engine with some API tweaks. We ended up using EaseUS as a standard, but simply because it has a generous technicians license. Even if virtual or on a SAN the small system partitions cause fragmentation issues and excessive iOPS overhead.Īfter our chief engineer bricked two different client servers with Gparted he was told to either stop using it or be fired. Dell's are the worst because they sold OEM Server 2008 boxes for the longest period with 40GB system partitions. In a two month period I probably did 30 of the things for all platforms. Resizing C: partitions become quite chronic at a MSP I was contracting for a few years ago. Most have those bootstrap / utility partition in the way. ![]() A Windows Server that *only* has a C: drive (system) and D: partition is rare. Gparted, like all the rest of the open source tools isn't aware of the various Windows bootstrap and utility partitions and will leave you in a lurch.
